From 18 to 21 October, the Moscow Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the second Russian Industrial Week, a large-scale industry event that united significant components of the Russian economy: mechanical engineering and metalworking, 3D printing technologies and consumables, 3D scanning, welding production, non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics, technologies and services for the production of advertising.

In 2021, the industrial week program included:

  • international exhibition of equipment and technologies for processing structural materials "Technoforum 2021";

  • international specialized exhibition of equipment, technologies, and materials for welding and cutting processes “Rusweld 2021”;

  • international specialized exhibition of technologies and services for the production of advertising "Reklama 2021";

  • international specialized exhibition and forum in the field of technologies and equipment for non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics "NDT Territory 2021";

  • exhibition of the Digital Signage audiovisual and information-and-communication technologies “Integrated Systems Russia 2021”;

  • building automation exhibition “Hi-Tech Building 2021”;

  • specialized exhibition called Precise Measurements as the Basis of Quality and Safety “MetrolExpo 2021”.

Russian Industrial Week was included in the plan of events for the Year of Science and Technology held in the Russian Federation in 2021. In this regard, special attention in the exhibition and business program was given to the popularization and demonstration of the latest scientific and technical developments, innovative technologies, and advanced ideas.

Technoforum 2021

The Technoforum exhibition is an important event for all market participants interested in the development of new directions in various sectors of mechanical engineering, machine tool construction, and processing of structural materials.

Technoforum is included in the Science-Technology-Innovation Expo project, which aims to promote the implementation of national programs in the field of transformation of science and technology, education, digital economy, industry, transport infrastructure, and energy.

The Technoforum 2021 exhibition is organized by Expocentre under the patronage of the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Expert Council for Scientific and Technological Development and Intellectual Property of the RF State Duma. The project partners were the Aluminum Association and the National Association of Robotics Market Participants. The exhibition took place in Pavilion No. 1 of the Expocentre Fairgrounds.

The best samples of new products were demonstrated by more than a hundred companies from eleven countries: the Republic of Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Liechtenstein, Russia, the USA, Taiwan, Turkey, Switzerland, and Japan.

The exhibition theme revealed the key trends in metalworking technologies. The exposition presented complex systems of high-tech equipment for the main processing industries, machine tool systems for processing metal, wood, stone, composite and polymer materials, robotics and production automation, additive technologies, welding technologies, and much more.

A separate exposition presented the current section of Additive Technologies and 3D Solutions, which included industrial 3D printers and additive systems, professional and personal 3D printers, 3D scanners, 3D printing services, 3D scanning and geometry control (here's an example device used for such purposes), software for 3D equipment, materials for 3D printing and accessories.

There was also a four-day Industry 3D conference in partnership with WebConf. The business event was held in a hybrid format — each day was dedicated to a specific topic and audience: users of additive technologies, engineering, and science.

During the exhibition, some young professionals were able to find work and companies managed to get qualified personnel with the help of a recruitment center.

The exhibition expo was traditionally complemented by a business program focused on the most important industry problems.

The business program opened with a plenary session “Additive Manufacturing: From Active Import Substitution to Technological Competitiveness” and a panel discussion “Additive Technologies: Towards a Transformation of Production”.

The most important events of the Technoforum 2021 business program included:

  • international forum on additive technologies and 3D solutions “3D Industry”;

  • conference “Innovative technologies and high-performance metalworking equipment. Component parts for machine tool systems";

  • round table "Trends and prospects for the development of industrial design";

  • conference "Sheet processing: digital methods of increasing the efficiency of modern production";

  • round table "Ecosystem of regional development";

  • business meeting for marketers of industrial companies "The choice of specialized marketing tools and communication channels for the industrial market in the context of digitalization".

Much attention was paid to professional competitions:

  • competition “Technoleader 2021”, which united all groups of manufacturers and consumers — both large industrial and private sectors;

  • open competition of the press services of industrial companies “PR-Battle”.

Rusweld 2021

Held in the Forum pavilion, the Rusweld 2021 exhibition presented advanced solutions and world practices in the field of welding equipment, materials, and technologies for welding and cutting metals with the possibility of demonstrating technological processes in action.

The exhibition was organized by Expocentre with the support of the State Duma Committee for Education and Science, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, as well as industry associations: the National Agency for Welding Control and the National Association of Robotics Market Participants. For the first time, the exhibition partner was the union of producers, suppliers, and consumers of aluminium (Russian Aluminum Association).

About fifty companies from nine countries demonstrated their developments: Germany, Denmark, Italy, China, the Republic of Belarus, Russia, Finland, France, and Sweden.

An important topic at Rusweld 2021 was non-destructive testing of working properties and parameters of welded joints and products in order to detect flaws.

A number of events in the business program of the forum were devoted to current trends in the development of non-destructive testing, technical diagnostics and condition monitoring, the industry specificity of existing solutions, technologies for automation and digitalization of NDT tools.

The main events of the Rusweld 2021 business program were:

  • scientific practical conference "Welding 2021. A look into the future";

  • seminar "The role of standardization, education, qualification assessment, certification, and control in ensuring the quality of welding production."

  • demonstration performance of the Russian national welding team WorldSkills Russia;

  • demonstration of an independent assessment of qualifications in the form of a professional examination;

  • Youth day.

For the second time, the Rusweld 2021 exhibition hosted a creative competition called the Art of Welding, where participants presented new interesting works and incredible possibilities of welding creativity.
