Flashforge has released an upgraded version of the Creator 3 desktop FDM 3D printer — the Creator 3 Pro additive system with IDEX kinematics, featuring increased performance as well as a number of hardware and software improvements.
The Creator 3 Pro inherited IDEX kinematics from the original version — a system for independent positioning of two heads along the X axis. This allows not only printing with two materials, for example, two colors or a main and support filament — it can also increase productivity by printing two identical or mirror models simultaneously.
The Creator 3 Pro is equipped with more powerful heating units: it now takes 3–5 minutes to heat up the platform instead of 15–20 min, and heating up hotends to 200 °C takes about one minute. The maximum temperature of the extruders increased by twenty degrees to 320 °C. Wear-resistant hardened steel nozzles are available for highly abrasive materials such as carbon- or glass-filled filaments.
With more powerful dual cooling and an enclosed build chamber, the system is perfectly suited for 3D printing with a wide range of materials, including PLA, ABS, ASA, PETG, nylon, high-impact polystyrene, water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol, and others.
Additional enhancements include a more accurate and reliable auto bed leveling system, a removable magnetic plate, and the replacement of the 4.5" touchscreen with a slightly smaller but more sensitive 4.3" version.
