3D printer manufacturer WASP is known for offering efficient FDM solutions for industrial applications that are bound to dramatically multiply and streamline the production. Let’s have a brief look at one of its flagship products — the Delta WASP 60100 professional delta 3D printer.
The Delta WASP 60100 is designed mostly for manufacture and prototyping of large parts — it features an enormous build volume of Ø 600 x 1000 mm, which obviously lets you print huge objects in one go. Thanks to the fully enclosed heated build chamber, the machine is perfect for temperature-sensitive materials. It is compatible with PLA, ABS, PETG, PA carbon, and plenty of other filaments.
The printer has a replaceable extruder module, which allows you to choose between the Black Spitfire and LDM Wasp extrusion kits. The former is intended for ceramic 3D printing, easily extruding dense-fluid materials, while the latter is capable of producing high-quality prints at high speeds. The Black Spitfire extruder supports nozzles with a diameter of 0.4, 0.7, and 1.2 mm, while the LDM Wasp can only be used with a 1.2 mm nozzle.
The maximum print speed of the Delta WASP 60100 is 200 mm/s, and the minimum layer height it can yield is 100 micron. The machine comes equipped with a stainless steel build plate that heats up to 120 °C. It also features an aluminum sliding system on bearings, eliminating vibrations of the print bed and thus ensuring better print quality.
The printer is compatible with all popular slicing programs like Cura, Slic3r, and Simplify3D. The connectivity options of the device include USB and an SD card.
