Это вкусовщина, некоторые наоборот любят вкладки в самом верху, чтоб в развернутом экране не целиться по ним (привет Firefox)

Там еще есть другие прикольные фишки типа смены домена API, в теории можно создать проксирующий сервис, который обрезает всякую телеметрию
