Я обычно для работы с фрей использую как ман сайт Лиссяры
Вот тут есть аналогичное руководство www.lissyara.su/?id=1669
В самом простом случае — работать будет :-)
В данном варианте получаем нешифрованный трафик и пароли открытым текстом :-)
SASL добавить ненамного сложнее :-)
Что-то я не понимаю: во время создания юзера вылазит
adduser: ERROR: There was an error adding user (svn).
а по тексту дальше
теперь, когда пользователь создан


Пытаюсь проверить создан ли юзер
$ pw user show svn

на что получаю
pw: no such user "svn"


p.s. я в BSD новичок, потому вразумите если что
