Издание PC Gamer опубликовало ежегодный топ 100 лучших игр. Рейтинг составляли более 30 журналистов и редакторов, которые обращали внимание на три критерия: качество, уникальность и значимость для индустрии. Авторы топа спорили и отстаивали свои точки зрения на протяжении нескольких месяцев. Например, игра Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire вернулась в рейтинг только потому что, один из редакторов подготовил подробную презентацию и убедил команду, что проект достоин попасть в топ.

Первое место заняла Baldur's Gate 3. Игру назвали «лучшей фэнтезийной RPG». Составители отметили проработанных персонажей, сложность и авторский подход. Второе место досталось Disco Elysium, а третье — Dwarf Fortress.
