Крупнейший в мире каталог сайтов Open Directory Project (dmoz) перешёл на Creative Commons Attribution

хрен туда попадешь в этот каталог, вроде и сайт нормальный и контент а ни слуху ни духу от редакторов. Уж 4 раза заявка туда писалась

Заявки никуда не деваются, просто, видимо в вашем разделе нет редакторов, подайте заявку и сами становитесь редактором интересующего вас раздела.

И это не старая новость — в кэше Яндекса старая лицензия.

Hi Everyone,

We're very excited to announce a change to the DMOZ license which we think will help both the editorial community and the end users of our data. We're making the switch to the Creative Commons Attribution license which will allow greater flexibility and clarity about both how the data can be used and the expected attribution. Additionally, the license is straightforward, easy to understand and is available in translation. You can read more about the CC Attribution license here: creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

The CC Attribution license requires that data users show an attribution statement. All users will be required to display our current standard attribution notice on their sites.
