Разве не по адресу доставки отслеживают?

Доставлять можно по адресу почтового отделения.

Сейчас заставляют оформлять декларации (и на Pinebook Pro, и, например, на следующую мою покупку с амазона уже в этом году), там помимо прочего обязательно указывать ИНН получателя. Думаю, что привязка идет к нему.

ИНН нужно указывать только если вы везете курьерской службой, а не почтой. Почтой можно без всяких ИНН, а отслеживают судя по всему по номеру телефона. Пишите другой номер и все. Хотя теперь не актуально, т.к. лимит на посылку, а не в месяц.
На счёт тачпада — у меня такие ощущения обычно когда я андроид в десктопном режиме использовать пытаюсь. Клавиатура внешняя без проблем работает, а вот тачпад или мышь подлагивают, либо инерцию имеют.

Как игрушка — может быть и сгодится.

Я бы скорее не рекомендовал брать как единственную машину (все таки эксперименты с девайсом так и напрашиваются). А работа у всех разная, думаю есть люди, которым будет вполне достаточно этого ноута.

Может и есть. Но человеку, который осилит допиливание ноута до нормальной работоспособности, его возможностей явно будет мало. А кому его возможностей будет достаточно, тот, скорее всего, не осилит допиливание. Разве что первый купит, наиграется и отдаст второму. А второй спросит «а где мой скайп?» и уберёт ноут в шкаф. :)

Порог вхождение в кастомизацию не такой уж и большой, успешного опыта взаимодействия с консолью и минимального понимания архитектуры может быть вполне достаточно для начала :)

Пользоваться в работе всё же лучше распоследними Macbook Pro и разными Thinkpad T4[7-9]x. А вот для тестов всегда нужно иметь старый комп.

К сожалению именно этот бенчмарк не собирается для aarch64 (из AUR):

А какой там объем данных для теста после распаковки?
hits_100m_obfuscated_v1.tar.xz на сервере занимает 9.1 гигабайт.

Аналогично. Являюсь счастливым обладателем бу Thinkpad-а: все можно заменить/добавить. Брать текущий конфиг новым по цене выходит уж слишком дорого, да и зачем?

Suspend не работает вообще, ваш ноут 2 дня живёт не в suspend to mem, а в лучшем случае во freeze. Хотя наверно там просто экранчик выключился.

Я ориентировался на красный LED питания (https://wiki.pine64.org/index.php/Pinebook_Pro#LEDs), в Manjaro он всегда зеленый


Кроме того, некоторые пользователи, в том числе и я блокируются в Google Account c сообщением "This browser or app may not be secure".

Хром? У меня на Firefox такой проблемы (пока?) нет.

Да, родственникам лучше взять что-то на n5000/n4000 с виндой. Будет проще и дешевле.
Вот бы туда можно было поставить клавиатуру с трекпоинтом и тачпад от ThinkPad… PS Лично мне больше нравится вариант с высоким энтером.
За такую цену, даже дешевле (на распродажах можно взять за $150) можно взять хромбук на n3350, например от HP, где будет хороший звук, FullHD IPS экран и так далее. На него тоже можно накатить Linux если хочется. ARM все же несколько специфично для десктопа.
Рад, что ARM'овые ноутбуки начали распространяться на рынке.
Сам уже 4 года юзаю Asus Flipbook C100PA с Linux на борту. Для всех моих нужд хватает.

По поводу зарядки через USB-C. Возможно для того, чтобы ноут корректно заряжался через USB-C зарядник и кабель должны поддерживать стандарт USB Power Delivery. У меня Google Chromebook Pixel — при подключении его к USB Power Delivery заряднику через обычный кабель он говорит, что питания недостаточно для заряда батареи, когда же я подключаю его через специализированный type c-type c кабель, шедший с зарядником — батарея заряжается.
