В Санкт-Петербурге существует большое количество провайдеров, которых конкуренция заставляет повышать на тарифных планах скорость, либо снижать абонентскую плату. Тем не менее, большинство из них предлагают «недобезлимитку» — при достижении определенного порога входящего трафика обрезается скорость. Мне повезло, и провайдер в моем доме за сравнительно небольшую абонентку дает честные симметричные 25 Мбит со статическим внешним IP. На такой канал было просто невозможно не поставить хороший сервер с торрентокачалкой.
В один прекрасный момент мой провайдер прислал мне следующее:
Таким образом, американские копирасты отправили абуз российскому провайдеру, который уведомил меня об этом письмом.
Возникают вопросы:
1. Каким образом они узнали, что я раздаю этот торрент — меня слил rutracker, или они послушали трафик на раздаче?
2. Насколько серьезно следует относится к их абузам?
3. Что делать дальше — как избежать в дальнейшем подобного спама?
В один прекрасный момент мой провайдер прислал мне следующее:
Уважаемый абонент.
В ЗАО поступило сообщение о том, что c вашего ip адреса были зафиксированны не правомерные действия.
Напоминаем Вам, что подобные действия недопустимы и могут стать причиной приостановления оказания Вам услуг связи, а также повлечь иные неблагоприятные последствия в случае обращения пострадавшего в компетентные государственные органы.
Просим в дальнейшем воздержаться от подобных действий.

We are writing this letter on behalf of Columbia Pictures Industries Inc., ("Columbia Pictures") who owns certain rights under copyright law in the title The Other Guys.
