Okko is one of the largest and leading video-on-demand online services in Russia with the headquarters at Atlantic-City business center in St. Petersburg. The project was launched in 2011 and is now available on such key platforms as Smart TV, mobile (IOS and Android), Play Station 3, Play Station 4, and web (PC). Okko’s monthly audience is 17 million people.
Users of Okko service may buy any high-quality film (UHD, HDR) or watch them by subscription via Okko application for Smart TV or mobile devices as well as on the website okko.tv. The service boasts as many as 69,000 content units. The company has direct contracts for film broadcasting with the world largest film studios such as Walt Disney Pictures, Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures as well as leading European and Russian film production companies.
The main distinctive feature of Okko service is absence of any advertising. Today the service offers thematic subscription packages, including Amediateka, Russian film collection, world blockbusters, art-house and content for children.
In 2019 the company nearly doubled their revenue up to 3,65 billion rubles.
The service has been visited by as many as 41 million users since its launch in 2011.
