Taiwanese company XYZprinting has announced the new MfgPro236 xS 3D printer. The system operates on the technology of Selective Laser Sintering of polymer powders (SLS) and will be available this year along with new consumables from BASF Forward AM.
Last year, XYZprinting and the BASF Forward AM additive brand entered into a strategic partnership to develop end-to-end industrial solutions such as additive manufacturing equipment and specialized consumables.

The MfgPro236 xS 3D printer is an additive system based on selective laser sintering technology with a build volume of 230 x 230 x 250 mm. It is designed to work with a wide range of polymer powders, including polyamide-6, polyamide-11, polyamide-12, and thermoplastic polyurethane. The open software architecture allows you to manually configure hardware to work with other suitable materials, including those by third parties.
BASF Forward AM will add two new materials to the ecosystem:
Ultrasint PA6 MF (XYZ sPro6MF) is a mineral-filled polyamide-6 powder that features high rigidity, low shrinkage, and high chemical resistance.
Ultrasint PA11 Black is a castor oil-based biopolymer material from polyamide. Due to its high ductility, the material demonstrates resistance to cracking under deformation loads. In addition, Ultrasint PA11 Black has good resistance to solvents, detergents, and oils.
