Как научить Wordpress движок дружить с Proxy? Легко!

У меня возникла штатная ситуация, я посмотрел в документации как её решить и сейчас напишу об этом пост на Хабре. Яху!

Ок, не в документации. Ввел в гугле «wordpress proxy» и кликнул по первой ссылке.

Зачем гуглить? В WP достаточно хорошо организованы исходники.
Открываем class-http.php и видим что фича с версии 2.8:

Уточнения для PHP 8.4 (может эта проблема появилась раньше). Имена констант в операторе define больше так указывать нельзя. Иначе будет фатальная ошибка (уже не предупреждение). Указываете их в кавычках:

define('WP_PROXY_HOST', 'localhost');
define('WP_PROXY_PORT', 3128);

Сейчас прокси очень актуальны, т.к. для серверов из России заблокирован доступ к серверу обновлений. Без понятия чьи это проделки (товарищ майор или господин капрал).
