Many of the "tendencies" mentioned are not tendencies at all, but normal figures being in use for decades.
And here are my 50 cents from my communication with British partners:
- Excessive use of 'in a position' predicate, e.g:
"Will you be in a position to be able to ship our order this week?" - Deliberate use of "-ish" suffix:
"How many items do you have in a go now-ish state?"
